recién, adverb:
just, recently; newly
How people use words differs between Spain and Latin America, just as American and US English are different. In Latin America, you can use recién with a finite verb.
Recién se fueron.
They’ve just left.
Recién llegó.
He has only just arrived OR He arrived only recently.
In Spain, you only use recién with past participles — a use which is also valid in Latin America.
los recién casados
the newlyweds
recién hecho
newly made
