paisaje, noun:
landscape; scenery
One of the joys of travelling is seeing different landscapes and scenery. El paisaje wraps up both those ideas in one word. When it’s beautiful it’s scenery:
Se han declarado estar impresionados con la belleza de los paisajes bolivianos.
They said they were impressed by the beauty of the scenery in Bolivia.
In other contexts, it’s a landscape:
el paisaje urbano de Moscú
the urban landscape of Moscow
un pintor de paisajes
a landscape painter
