cotidiano, adjective:
daily, everyday
Both Spanish and English share many words derived from Latin. Sometimes the derived word is much commoner in one language than the other. This is true of cotidiano. It means daily, everyday. It is often used in the phrase la vida cotidiana:
No son agitadores. Son gente normal, en su vida cotidiana, resultan de lo más respetable.
They are not agitators. They’re ordinary people, in everday life, very respectable.
The word ‘quotidian’ exists in English, but is rather literary. Both Spanish and English words come from the Latin adjective quōtīdiānus, daily.
