brazo, noun:
arm

El brazo means arm, in the sense of part of your body:

Me duele el brazo.
My arm hurts.

It can also refer to the arm of a chair, using the same metaphor as English:

Dio una palmada en el brazo del sillón.
She slapped the arm of the chair.

When you take someone by the arm, notice the construction in Spanish:

La tomó del brazo y la llevó a la sala.
He took her by the arm and led her into the room.
