inoportuno, adjective:
untimely; worst; unsuitable
You could translate inoportuno as inopportune, but that would make the English sound much more formal than the Spanish, so you might want to use other words instead. Inoportuno often goes together with momento:
El micrófono falló en el momento más inoportuno.
The microphone failed at the worst or most awkward moment.
La noticia no podía haberse dado a conocer en un momento más inoportuno para el gobierno.
The news couldn’t have come out at a worse or more unsuitable time for the government.
