luego, adverb:
then; later; soon

When you’re telling a story luego meaning then can help you describe the sequence of events:

Primero se puso de pie y luego habló.
First he stood up and then he spoke.

You can also use luego to talk about the near future. In one meaning it’s later:

Te veo luego.
I’ll see you later.

And the most useful phrase in this meaning:
