genial, adjective:
brilliant, awesome

Genial is a very positive word to use. You can apply it to people and ideas that are brilliant in some way:

En esa época el genial pintor se encontraba en París.
At that time the brilliant painter was in Paris.

Se me ha ocurrido una idea genial.
I’ve had a brilliant idea.

You can also apply it to anything that you find fantastic, brilliant, awesome.

El último episodio fue sencillamente genial.
The last episode was simple awesome.
