Verde por fuera, amarilla por dentro, si quieres saber, espera.
Green on the outside, yellow on the inside; if you want to know, wait.
Notice that the adjective verde doesn’t change its ending when it describes a feminine noun.
Did you solve the riddle? The answer is pera (pear): espera (wait) sounds like es pera (it’s a pear).
