seguir, verb:
to go on, to carry on; to be still...

Seguir is often used with an -ndo form to talk about going on or carrying on doing something.

Siguió mirándolo.
He went on or carried on looking at her.

Sometimes you need to translate this structure using the word ‘still’:

Sigo pensando lo mismo.
I still think the same.

When it’s used with a following adjective or prepositional phrase, the usual translation of seguir is to be still...

Sigue casado.
He’s still married.

Sigo en Caracas.
I’m still in Caracas.

And seguir sin followed by a verb means still not to...:

Sigo sin entender.
I still don’t understand.
